Description by Petr Hajek Architekti

The home is situated within the centre of a backyard. Every single room is oriented to one of many timber. The lounge faces the apple tree, the main bedroom, the cherry tree, the toilet faces the peach tree, the visitor room, the silver spruce and the youngsters’s room, the walnut. Every room has its distinctive view and environment. The constructing is resting like a lizard in a solar-lit meadow. The inspiration for the proposal of this home is in reality a chameleon. Eyes (home windows) unrestrictedly observe the environment. The pores and skin (facade), consisting of a semi-gloss coat, partly displays the colors of the backyard and the sky.

The geometry of the partitions creates two several types of areas inside one plot: “The home areas” and “the backyard areas”. “The home areas” are dealing with the timber within the backyard, whereas the “backyard areas” are intervals between “the home areas”, since they’re in reality invisible from the inside.
