The hippie is back!

Yes, and it`s in every color! Beach, sea colors! Colors of freedom and love! Minimalists probably wouldn’t understand it, because hippies have to be different, and must show! No edges, no boundaries, but puffy pillows fluffy lamps, circles, flowers… If you want to make it right, you have to find some old piece of furniture, and paint it to freshen it up a little bit. Or, try the second hand shops! They have some god-shaped cabinets, sofas or little tea-tables.

via The Fox and the Fawn Still, bear in mind that the strong colors are in the details – the foundation has to be white, creamy, ivory, etc.

via Sana Ashrafi The hippie decor would remind you a little of a decor of some Indian soap opera, but that is only because the hippie movement has found historical precedents as far back as the Mazdakist movement in Persia, whose leader the Persian reformer Mazdak, advocated communal living, the sharing of resources, vegetarianism and free love.

via Graham and Green The kitchen can be hippie too – for it is the easiest – all of the old-style plates, napkins, and coffee and tea cups are having flowery-decor. You just need to look at your grandmother`s old cabinet and use some of the old sets – she saved them for you anyway! Turquoise, cyclamen, ocher and orange are the only colors you need. Lines, circles, flowers, everything is allowed! Don’t forget to put a vase of roundly-shaped flowers, but not roses, maybe even a sunflower, and make your living place a place of love, a place of freedom!
